Pokerstars Sit-N-Go Tournaments
Sit-n-go tournaments are offered in all game choices at Pokerstars. They start for as little as $1.10 and go up to $2190. They can be found in heads-up, short-handed, full table, and multi-table formats. Sit-n-go tournaments are available in Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo, 5 Card Draw, Razz, Badugi, 2-7 Triple Draw, 2-7 Single Draw, Badugi, HORSE, HOSE, and 8-Game. They are also available in regular speed or turbo versions.
Double or Nothing Sit-n-Go Tournaments
One of the more popular formats are the Double or Nothing sit-n-go tournaments which are 10-player, single table tournaments where the top 5 double their buy-in amount. For example, if you play in a $5+.20 Double or Nothing, make it into the top 5 and you’ll get $10 back.
Pokerstars Guaranteed Tournaments
Pokerstars offers big guaranteed tournaments every day, in every game choice. There are daily guaranteed Texas Hold’em tournaments that range from $2000 – $150,000, and other games have daily guaranteed tournaments in the $2,000 – $50,000 range.
Sundays are the big day of the week. Pokerstars runs the #1 and #2 largest weekly tournaments in online poker every Sunday. The guaranteed prize pool for the Sunday Million is now $1.5 million, doubling the second largest weekly tournament online (which is also run by Pokerstars).
The Sunday Million has a direct buy-in of $215, or players can win a seat through one of the hundreds of daily satellites. Satellites for the Sunday Million start for as little as $2.22 or 400 Frequent Player Points. The top prize is usually in the $150-200k range and the top 15% of the field makes it into the money, unlike 10% at most other rooms. This means that more players get paid.
The Sunday Million usually draws 7300-9000 players and it continues to get more and more popular. Players start with deep stacks of 10,000 chips, and the blinds go up every 15 minutes.
The Sunday Warm Up is tied as the second largest weekly tournament. It has a $750,000 guaranteed prize pool, and the same $215 buy-in as the Sunday Million. Satellite tournaments run for as little as $3 or 400 FPP’s.
There is also a $500,000 guaranteed, and several other Sunday tournaments with guaranteed prize pools of over $150,000.
